Yesterday evening director of my Division in LBNL (about 200 pers.) died - nobody knows why ;( He was in the hospital and was going to leave it - then suddenly died - just like this. He was just about 40 or 50. They say it is the desease called "chronic decision-making under the conditions of total uncertainty" - typical for directors and managers. Please - take care of those of your relatives and friends who are subject to stresses and constant decision-making - they are very vulnerable inspite of they may look opposite.
There was another accident about a month ago here - one scientist jumped out from the laboratory building ;( Bad karma over this place...
